
- Reduce Sugar – Less sugar consumption will reduce inflammation, cholesterol, improve heart health, result in weight loss, lower blood pressure, improve skin, improve sleep, increased energy…..shall I continue? Or do you get the point?  Â
- Get to Stepping (And yes, my Midwest friends, that stepping counts too!)
- Meditation – Helps to reduce stress, boost immune function, improve emotional wellbeing, and increase happiness.Â
- Yoga – Increases strength, flexibility, balance, and energy. It can also improve circulatory health and alleviate stress.
- Nature – Spending time in nature can reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, improve mood, and reduce feelings of isolation.Â
- Get Creative – Engaging in creative activities can improve brain function, mental and physical health. Creative activities can increase overall happiness! Â
- Slow Down – 24/7/365 hustle is played! Slowing down offers us better clarity. Leads to better decisions. Be present and enjoy experiences more. Stop and smell the roses!
- Move More – Take the stairs. Take a walk. Add strength training. You know why!
- Get Social/Anti-social – Spend more time with family and friends. BUT, it’s also important and necessary to unplug for a while each day!  Step away from the device.
- Eat Better – Read labels. If you see ingredients you can’t pronounce or that are not real food, put it back! Eat more greens. Eat more raw veggies and drink green juices.Â
- East Less – Try Intermittent fasting and/or smaller portions. Buy smaller plates!
- Teatime – Green Tea is full of antioxidants and may lower one’s cancer risk. It is also believed to lower cholesterol which lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease. Try chamomile at bedtime instead of another glass of wine.
- Laugh More – Much better than meds.Â
- Drink More Water – Stay hydrated for better skin, more energy, and a healthier body.
- New Experiences – Step outside of your comfort zone. Experience LIFE!
- Deep Breathing Exercises – Lowers blood pressure. Helps you to relax, decrease stress, tensions in the body, and increase calm. Helps detox the body and improve sleep.
- Learn Something – Challenge yourself to learn something new. Another language perhaps! There are thousands of online courses, seminars, and some of them free! Check out Coursera. You can audit courses for free!
- Volunteer – Helping others also makes you feel better.
- Be Kind not just to others, but to yourself! You deserve it.
- Sleep More – Just as important, if not more than diet for health and longevity.
- Floss Daily – I bet most of us suck at this! I do.
- Be grateful! YOU’RE STILL HERE! YOU WOKE UP. Wake up with gratitude.
